Labour is in big trouble in Auckland. Every single one of their many brands and personalities is damaged and the recent AECT election have proved that. The left wing is so fractured and splintered they haven’t got a hope of defeating a united Centre-right under the banner of Citizens and Ratepayers.

In the recent AECT election not one of the Powerlynk ticket got elected. For those who don’t know the Powelynk ticket is the Labour/Green “brand”. Their incumbent trustee Shale Chambers came sixth in the final voting and Kate Sutton came 8th. Their full ticket of Shale Chambers, Trustee for the past two terms, Simon Mitchell, Jenny Agnew, David Hay and Kate Sutton all got slayed.

Now would be a good time to call into question whether Labour activist Shale Chambers is qualified to sit on the NZ Post Board any longer. In fact the whole board could do with a clean out from the traitor at the top to the union flunky Ken Douglas. But I digress.

PowerLynk had some powerful endorsements. Mayoral contenders Len Brown and Mike Lee both endorsed PowerLynk in their brochures but that still didn’t help their prospects. Despite trying to hide their strong Labour links PowerLynk was annihilated in the AECT election and the endorsement of Mayoral hopefuls Brown and Lee haven’t helped them.

That then moves us to CityVision, another of the Labour/Green party brands that is tarnished if not destroyed completely. CityVision was strongly behind one of the worst mayors in Auckland’s history, Dick Hubbard. Beset with internal struggles and infighting CityVision is a brand not worth having. It stands for nothing. It isn’t Labour and it isn’t Green.

Labour’s own brand was destroyed at the last election in the trouncing of labour candidates city wide except in South Auckland and three seats that are essentially West Auckland. Since the election the support for Labour in seats like Mt Roskill and new Lynn would have been eroded even further. Labour’s tide is clearly still going out and with less than a year to go before the loval body elections their strategy anf planning and branding is in disarray.

Even the mayoral hopefuls are beset with double-dealing, fighting and poor branding. Len Brown and Mike lee have spiked their chances by backing the losing AECT ticket PowerLynk and Len Brown in particular may have shot his bolt early.

Labour and all their hangers on face an uphill battle to gain any traction or credibility in the new Super City and that goes for Len Vrowns powerbase in South Auckland. The AECT election cover a great deal of South Auckland and yet not one of Labour’s PowerLynk brand flunkies got elected.

The swing is still very much to the centre right and there C&R have been very smart in making peace and amalgamating and uniting the centre right brands under one banner. Citizens and Ratepayers have a cohesive strategy, a formidable team and most importantly they are united and focused on one goal. It is a goal they will achieve mostly because their opponents have systematically destroyed their own credibility and branding.

The Standard after attacking me and making it look like a cuddle then goes on through the mad rantings of Marty G to propose there is some conspiracy between Treasury and National.

National’s favourite public servant (who got himself a nice pay rise), John Whitehead, has been offering dire warnings of the future. $2 trillion in debt by 2050! Something must be done!

Naturally, the Treasury has an extreme right-wing solution – cut everything: cut health – yeah, a less healthy workforce that’ll be great for the economy. Cut education – yup, that’s the route to a high tech economy. Cut superannuation – you’re going to die anyway, why not die a pauper? Even cut taxes – yup Treasury reckons part of the solution to the government not taking in enough money to cover its costs to to cut its revenue.

Marty G must be about 12 years old because if he was any older or involved in labour then he would know that John Whitehead was once a treasury wonk seconded to Labour’s research unit and then liked it so much he stayed on eventually rising to Deputy Director of the Labour Research Unit before returning to Treasury.

Massive own goal there.

Further Marty G simply doesn’t understand that Treasury are really just scientists that look at evidence and plug details into complicated economic models and provide forecasts. There is no ideiologiy except when Michael Cullen thinks there is, the forecasts and results just are and they just tell what it is.

The plain simple fact of the matter is that New Zealand is living beyond its means, it can’t pay its bills and it won’t be able to pay its bills in the future unless we do something.

The left always goes on about how caring and sharing they are, then one day you find out up close and personal just how caring and sharing they really are. Eddie, paid lap-blogger at The Standard writes a post about me that purports to be caring and sharing about my “mental illness”. In fact it it a serious of veiled insults and threats to the media that because I suffer a mental illness that nothing I say can be of any value. His, and Eddie is a he, commenters jump in and all say hear, hear. I posted a response but as is usual for that bunch of control freak assholes they have decided not to let it through their moderation.

Mental illness is not a laughing matter, it is serious and can be very hard on the people affected and those who care for them. People who are afflicted by mental illness are not necessarily ‘nuts’ or ‘crazy’ but I think that when we look at Cameron’s blog it is clearly not the product of a healthy mind – to those for whom that wasn’t clear beforehand, it certainly is now.

No it isn’t a laughing matter, but what remotely qualifies “Eddie” to make those comments. As you can see very carefully crafted to appear caring but in fact a serious of slurs and sleights. Apparently according to “Eddie” my mind isn’t healthy. I suffer depression so therefore my mind isn’t healthy….like to know how that one works. According to Wikipedia;

Some well-known contemporary people with possible depression include Canadian songwriter Leonard Cohen and American playwright and novelist Tennessee Williams. Nice so “Eddie”, the caring and sharing spinmeister of the paid lap-blog thinks that Winston Churchill, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, John Stuart Mill, Tennesee Williams, Leonard Cohen amonsgt other all have unhealthy minds. Lovely. Nice guy. C*nt.

It’s interesting that several other prominent right-wing bloggers have admitted that for them, too, blogging is a way they deal with mental illness, a way of taking out their anger, hurt, and pain on the world. Is that wrong? No. But we should see it for what it is – self-therapy, not rational political discourse.

I think there is a lesson here for the media. Cameron was obviously unwell and that should have given journalists pause both before running his stories and citing him as a commentator of note, and before exposing him to pressures he could not handle through greater public exposure.

Some more bashes from Eddie and a veiled threat to the media that clearly as he stated above that as my mind is unhealthy, plus other right wing bloggers similarly have had issues with depression then they are also unhealthy and so therefore their ideas are unhealthy and must at all costs be discounted and not used by the media, all dressed up in nice caring words but in actuality are nothing but a pouring of vitriol and anguish that the invisible, so far, Eddie can’t get traction in the media.

Using his logic as well the achievements of John Kirwan on the rugby field must also be discounted and mitigated away because he too was a sufferer of depression. Those tries he scored don’t really count because before the game he was spewing his guts out into bog. Despite the fact that he was the best winger in the rugby world at the time it is clear that his mind was unhealthy and therefore he wasn’t so great after all.

When you seek a list of famous people who have suffered depression you can see that it is quite some list, yet according to “Eddie” they really shouldn’t have been taken seriously after all. All of their achievements were the products of “unhealthy” minds and therefore can be discounted as the mad ravings of a lunatic.

Buzz Aldrin, Woody Allen, Hans Christian Anderson, Drew Carey, Jim Carrey, Winston Churchill, T.S. Elliot, Marcus Epstein, Harrison Ford, Stephen Fry, Ernest Hemingway, Robert Oppenheimer, Mozart, Isacc Newton, Friedrich Nietzsche, JK Rowling, even darling of the Climate Changists Jim Salinger, Mark Twain and so on and on and on. Funny, I didn’t notice “Eddie” jumping in and commenting on Dancer’s post that what Jim Salinger has to say must be discounted because he suffers from depression. According to “Eddie’s” theory of depression Climate Change must now be a construct of an “unhealthy” mind.

“Eddie” is a c*nt. His post demeans every sufferer of depression who despite their illness goes on and achieves wonderful things. In “Eddies” world these achievements must be diminished and ignored as the results of an “unhealthy” mind. Have I mentioned “Eddie” is a c*nt? He isn’t even brave enough to put his real name out there so who is the soft one here boyo?

Now Cameron is receiving the sickness benefit. A lot of those who formerly idolised him are attacking him as a bludger and that’s not fair. The sickness and invalid’s benefits are there to protect people who can’t work and their families from destitution. People on sickness and invalids benefits are not bludgers, they are people afflicted by illness, and that can happen to anyone – even your hero.

Again, how can he know this. As of right now I am not on the sickness benefit. You see the state in all of its caring just can’t care fast enough. It has been three months since an application has been submitted and still no answer. Too bad if you didn’t have caring friends and family to assist you. It is interesting to go and sit in the Work and Income office as you wait patiently for one of the the staff to see you. You see more than half of the staff aren’t with anyone, they walk slower than drunk with a hangover and all get up like automatons right on the button of whenever the rules stipulate their tea-breaks should be and leave the “customers” all sitting their in their misery. Again the delusion of the left that the state can fix everything is just that a delusion, and they have the temerity to call me mental and “unhealthy”.

Well fuck them all, they should be very glad and grateful that so far in their pathetic and miserable lives that they haven’t suffered from depression. It certainly is up there with cancer as one of the things you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy, even Winston.

Being hugged by the caring left left is like being hugged by a Puffer Fish.

Brian Tamaki needs to read his bible.

The leader of Destiny Church, Brian Tamaki, who not long ago anointed himself bishop of the church he founded, has now proclaimed himself the church’s “spiritual father” and designated the male members of the church as “spiritual sons”.

I have been accused via phone and in several emails of defending Bill English’s troughing in my post of yesterday. A very careful reading of that post would show no defence of Bill English at all. It was an unmitigated attack against an unmitigated liar Trevor “Putin” Mallard.

Now that the Auditor-General has delivered her report we can now put the silly housing troughing story behind us and concentrate on Bill English for his prevarication, his do-nothing-ness and his unwillingness to ever make a decision good or bad. Oh that he would make a bad decision, at least it would be a decision to DO something even if it was bad.

He simply sits and analyses everything to death. It was his failing as leader of the National Party where in the end he his nihilism dragged the party to its lowest ever poll rating.

Cactus Kate has perfectly analysed why Bill English is a dick and needs to as Finance Minister. Simply put he hasn’t done a thing. Labour should be encouraging Bill English to be on TV more not less. It’s worth 10% off National for sure. Bill English couldn’t turn on a hooker let alone a voter.

With National touching 60% in the polls he and National should be being bold not timid and prevaricating. Bill English has to go.

On September 9 Trevor “Putin” Mallard accused Bill English of a “rort”.

Bill English has a major problem. He has told New Zealand that he didn’t change his family trust arrangements to rort the accommodation allowance system.

On October 23, he said that Bill Enmglish had an “iffy trust”,

A very good authority has indicated that despite Bill English repaying the money he (or his iffy trust) received from Ministerial Services he has not withdrawn or amended the form he lodged with the Speaker indicating that Dipton is his primary place of residence.

On October 20 he accused Bill English of “making a false declaration” and “ripping off the taxpayer for more than 10 years”;

So I’m challenging him to come clean on why he is not being tough on Bill English ripping the taxpayer off for over a decade.

I think I know why. Key feels guilty. He took out a mortgage on a Wellington flat for the sole purpose of claiming an allowance from the taxpayer when he was worth over $50m. When caught by Cullen he repaid the mortgage and stopped claiming.

I’m not saying he made a false declaration as to his circumstances – but it helps understand why he is protecting someone who almost certainly did.

On October 3 he used the headline “English – Corruption”, then used a pull quote from the paid lap-blog The Standard that accuses Bill English of a bmassive rot and says it doesn’t need any elaboration.

On September 25 in the house Trevor “Putin” Mallard accused Bill English of money laundering and fraud and proudly posted the video of it o the Labour party blog.

All the information that Pete Hodgson and Trevor “Putin” Mallard used was kindly provided by their flunkie and snitch, Simon Pleasants, sitting safely ensconced as the person responsible for Minsterial Housing.

Not one single one of their allegations, slurs, innuendo or accusations has been upheld by the Auditor-General, in fact the report from the Auditor-General exonerates Bill English. It even goes further and shows that he actually is still within the rules to claim even though he is now not doing so. And the icing on the cake, the same defence that Michael Cullen got away with hiding the billions of liability in ACC, he was incorrectly advised by an official.

Once again Trevor “Putin” Mallard has slung the mud and now with his blog slung it freely and here is the point I am coming to. Sure we sling mud on blogs, but Trevor “Putin” Mallard is an MP and has previously held ministerial warrants, he is meant to be better than all the rest of us. He has laid accusation after acusation of quite dreadful crimes such as money laundering and fraud and rorting systems and so on. Not one of those allegations made on his blog or in the house has been substantiated after an exhaustive enquiry by the Auditor-General, which makes Trevor “Putin” Mallard a proven unmitigated liar, same goes for Pete Hodgson.

Trevor “Putin” Mallard has form on lying, he accused National of having American bagmen, again an unsubstantiated, unmitigated lie.

The man is unfit to be an MP, and certainly unfit to carry on as the “Editor in Chief” of the Labour MPs blog. In fact he should resign along with other proven liar Rick Barker, and their ginga apologist Darren Hughes.

And is there an apology from Trevor “Putin” Mallard on his party blog. Nope. Not yet, hours after the A-G report was released, yet he found time to cut and paste Hansard about meal breaks.

Trevor “Putin” Mallard is a disgrace, a liar, and a cheat. He should resign.

I am pleased that I will no longer be paying Sue Bradford’s Parliamentary salary (although she will no doubt now join the parasite classes where she is so comfortable.  As yet another toddler is killed we are reminded the failure of the anti-smacking legislation and how it has had no impact on such tragedies. 

Bradford will not be missed.  I am pleased that she is quitting for another reason.  Without her the Greenies will struggle for profile and oxygen.  I expect them to fall below the 5% threshold at the next election and disappear off the landscape forever.

Bill English has just been cleared by the Auditor General.  No surprise here as the whole episode has been a complete beat-up by an irrelevant opposition getting desperate for some oxygen.  David Farrar did a very good post a month or so back on why he thought Bill English was within the rules.

Trevor has been hot on this for months and every other post on Trevor’s Blog has been about this.  Will Trevor apologise?  Nah – that is not the Labour way.  I can imagine the Labour response and that of their lapdog blog. 

Let us not forget a few things.  Bill English is the representative for Southland-Clutha – he owns and maintains a family residence down there. But travel to his house is 5 hours each way.  As a senior politician he needs to spend nearly all his time in Wellington.  His accommodation allowances have been approved by various speakers including Hunt and Wilson. 

This whole episode demonstrates just how hypocritical Labour really are.  Phool Goof himself owns a house in Wellington.  In the last term he rented out his own house and lived at considerable expense to the taxpayer in alternate accommodation.

Trevor – How about an apology to Bill English and a total retraction of all your nasty comments and innuendo.

Labour has a problem. That problem is a choice. A Catch-22. They need to choose between having a lying Rick Barker in parliament or an honest Judith Tizard. This is why no Labour MP will go for the foreseeable future, unless Goff or perhaps the head EPMU wing of the Labour Party can convince Judith to step aside. heads though should roll. Barkers, for lying, plus his involvement as a flatmate and companion of Bill Liu, Darren Hughes for defending the lying, the cover up and as the DomPost editorial says being an “apologist for indefensible behaviour on the part of his colleagues”.

The Rick Barker problem has just got worse for them too. It seems that everybody hates Labour, including the Marketing Research Society, for lying about polling. Read this press release and look at the language used. I can’t leave anything out it is so good.

STATEMENT:

The Market Research Society of New Zealand and The Association of Market Research Organisations have today expressed their extreme concern for the unethical and misleading activities of the New Zealand Labour Party.

The Labour Party’s use of non-operational company’s name deceived those members of the New Zealand public who were contacted for the Labour Party’s interviewing. This practice broke several of the rules that are followed by most market research companies regardless of their country.

President of the Market Research Society of New Zealand (MRSNZ), Horst Feldhaeuser, says that:

“We are dismayed that the Labour Party broke so many rules concerning ethical behaviour, misleading respondents, abusing the trust of respondents and making false statements about the research organisation conducting the research.”

Feldhaeuser also states that:
“The Labour Party’s actions risk increasing the cost of conducting bona fide market research in New Zealand. Commercial businesses and public sector organisations alike invest well over a hundred million dollars each year into market research, and if the public becomes more reluctant to answer surveys because they cannot trust the interviewers who call them up, then costs will increase.”

Colin Yee, Chairman of the Association of Market Research Organisations (AMRO), says that:
“If any of our members were caught acting in the way that the Labour Party has done, then tough professional measures would be taken, quite possibly including expulsion from the organisation, job loss and definitely a hit to one’s business reputation.”

Yee adds that the Labour Party could have easily conducted their research themselves without any of the lies that they chose to make:
“We understand that the Labour Party would not have wished to identify themselves before interviewing people because respondents’ answers could then be skewed, but all they had to do was explain to potential respondents that they were a political party surveying the public, and that their identity would be revealed at the end of the interview to avoid skewing the results. This workaround would have provided the Labour Party with unbiased results without misleading the public.”

The Market Research Society of New Zealand and The Association of Market Research Organisations call upon the Labour Party to:
1. Apologise to the New Zealand public for lying to them;
2. Apologise to the hundreds of market researchers working in New Zealand for bringing their profession into disrepute;
3. Outline their future plans for conducting their polling in an ethical, transparent and honest manner.

Finally, Horst Feldhaeuser has extended an invitation to the Labour Party MP Rick Barker who ran the poll in question:
“Mr Barker is welcome to join the Market Research Society of New Zealand in order to improve his knowledge of market research and ethical polling. We run regular educational events for our members and it would be good to see Mr Barker attending so that he can conduct his future surveys with a greater degree of professionalism”

Over the past few weeks we have seen Labour become more and more irrelevant as their popularity slides into the gutter where they seem so comfortable.  Phil Goof has not been seen in newspapers for weeks and this is reflected in his 4% popularity.  The Labour Party themselves are struggling to get over 30% and come the election two years away indications are that Labour will not get over 30% (but will they get less that 20.93%)

Lets have a look at what is going on.

Trevor is still bleating about the Bill English accommodation issue – as if like Lazarus this issue will raise from the dead.  Trevor – the issue is dead and you look like a complete dick for trying to keep it rolling.

Gollum was going on this morning about what John Key stands for.  Hell – at least everyone knows who John Key is – outside the beltway who knows who Peter Hodgson is?? Angry little fucker should just crawl into some hole and disappear from society.

Cunliffe is getting all stroppy because Bill English gets to go on TV. Does he not realise that envy is one of the seven deadly sins.

Parker is going on about ETS.

Chris Carter is still mincing around the world at any opportunity.  He is making a complete dick of himself and is doing everything he can to reduce Labour’s support base even further.  Should Michael Jones contest his electorate seat in 2011 Carter will find himself out of a job.  Who would want to employ a postmenopausal gay trougher??

Some unknown Labourite is moaning about the ACC, and ignoring the fact that Labour buggered ACC in the first place and now the Nats have the task of fixing it. 

Annette King and Goof do not accept that Philip Field was a corrupt MP and Minister.  Just that they accept the Jury decision – well good on King and Goof – but the public need more than that.

Labour have no direction.  They are shooting at any and every target and making no impact on any.  The public has mostly woken up to the fact that in nine years they have buggered the country and it is dawning on the their fewer and fewer remaining supporters that tough decisions need to be made to pay for the sins of the past.

Labour continue to the the hypocritical arrogant wankers they were while they were in Government.  They are still struggling with their demotion. In 2011 Labour will need to have a clean-out of the cupboard and get rid of Goof, King, Gollum, Hawkins, and a few others who are oxygen thieves.  They need to accept NZ despises them and remembers what they have done to the country. 

Once they have done their penance then maybe in 2017 or 2020 they may be again allowed to take back the Treasury benches.  At present the Labour Party needs to learn to be constructive.  With John Key riding so high in all the polls, they must be a very disheartened bunch.  I wonder how long before we see blood on the floor of the Labour Caucus room.  I expect to have to wait until February 2012 when the BBQ season is drawing to a close.

In the meantime they will continue to fuck up – they can bitch about their low polling and the stupidity of some of their own, and the ineffectiveness of the leadership team.  The can moan about why they are not connecting with New Zealand (and they John Key is connecting).

David Parker in a voice reminiscent of Bill Rowling, is at high dudgeon that National “could” have received donations from insurance companies. Could’ve? Might’ve? Who knows? Who cares?

Labour on the other DID receive substantial donations from Unions. Not only in cash but also in time especially from the workers arm of the Labour party the EPMU…or is the Labour Party the Political arm of the EPMU, hard to tell these days.

David Parker has merely highlighted the rank hypocrisy of Labour and added to an already abysmal week for them.

What is it with these Labour mayors that they have to get into speaking on behalf of the police when something awful happens in their patch.

What on earth was Len Brown being interviewed for on ZB this morning, when it is a police matter.

He didn’t really seem to know anything anyway. Perhaps he could have explained why his city is the crime capital of New Zealand and is so bad that National has had to pump 300 extra police into the area.

It is bizarre and totally inappropriate that a Mayor should get involved in this way in a police investigation.

Just like Cun(t)liffe whingeing on about the TVNZ promo with Bill English, well in my book, it’s the same thing with Bob Harvey and Len Brown, putting themselves out there just to get publicity for their cause celebre. Shameless ambulance chasers the lot of them.

Labour and David Cun(t)liffe should just shut up. Need I remind them about the working for families bus shelter ads they spent millions on.

Mr Cunliffe: “This promo looks and sounds like a party political broadcast and a self-promotion rather than a preview of what purports to be a serious programme.”

The man with the silent T in his name has got this completely wrong. There is no way in the world that National would ever let a plonker like Mr Twentyone Percent do a party political broadcast as we could easily lose 10% in the polls instantly, and National care about retaining power. Secondly, in case the plonker hasn’t noticed National doesn’t need to do party political broadcasts they are sitting at around 60% in the polls and his pary is hovering just aobe the low 20’s.

It’s a pity someone unbiased and free thinking like Hone couldn’t have mentioned this.

As I have blogged regularly Chrisco in Australia and in New Zealand appears to be in serious trouble. both of their websites have placeholders only and the only information you can get on them online is from that single placeholder page.

Australia’s page says the new catalogs and website will be due out on 26 October 2009. Today is the 27th and there is no change.

If I was a Chrisco customer I’d be ringing them for some answers real quick. Otherwise their Christmas of almost expired goods may well be worst than that as in nothing whatsoever.

Time for Richard Bradley to front, speech impediment or no speech impediment, someone at Chrisco must start talking and talking soon otherwise there may well be a lot over very angry, poor people raiding Coatesville and upsetting the lovely couple currently renting the place while Richard tries to find a buyer.

With the imminent resignation of Sue Bradford from Parliament, there ought to be much rejoicing among the forces of conservatism and the centre-right that the biggest, baddest social engineer of modern New Zealand is going.

Unfortunately, she’s now threatening to come back to politics by standing as a councillor for the new Auckland supercity.  Even worse than that, there are some serious talks to bring in Sue Bradford as the deputy for Brown.

Of course, the role of deputy is a serious one under the Auckland Council given the increased Mayoral powers, the budget and the size of Auckland. But it’s even more serious when you consider the likelihood of her becoming the actual Mayor with Len Brown’s bad heart condition.

Everyone knows how Len Brown was probably jump started in order to save his life when he collapsed with a massive heart attack in mid 2008. It’s also well known he spent some weeks fighting for his life, with complications in his heart bypass, meaning he had to be opened up twice under general anaesthetic to save his life. In total, Brown had six (SIX!) heart valves replaced under a double-triple bypass due to massive blocking, and after the first op, one of the valves then ripped open again requiring another operation.

Brown had the last rites read, such was his outlook.

So, having established the clear state of Brown’s lack of health, there is a very real possibility that under a high pressure job like the Auckland Mayoralty, Brown would suffer significant stress, particularly with the massive task of bringing the old councils together.

Sue Bradford would be literally one heartbeat away from the Auckland Mayoralty. Parliament’s most divisive and militant operator, the social-engineer who knew better than 87% of New Zealand’s families, would be in charge of all Auckland.

And that’s a risk that no right thinking person in Auckland would want to consider.
